Our Thai earthenware dragon boats depict a major aspect of Thai history. The dragon boat festivals originate from Chinese influence. However these are long and slender with up to 50 paddlers or rowers. The ones shown here are more likely a reference to the Royal Barges of Thailand. The central pillars would support a roof covering to shade the dignitaries within.
Either way these are unique hand made and eye catching Thai earthenware dragon boats. Sold separately but they look great as a collection.
